I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as a First-Generation Program Advisor Associate at University of Kentucky! I’m unbelievably thrilled to be back in higher ed, working with a population I have a lot of experience and passion for helping in their academic journey.

My work will focus on programmatic advising for First Generation students. While I can and will help students with some more academic-centered advising, most of my advising will center on other aspects of college life – mental health, physical wellness, sense of community and belonging, academic and career opportunities – and connecting students to resources addressing those.

First-Generation Services is housed in the Office for Student Success. My role is through a temporary tole through the STEPS program, with an end-date of June 30, 2023.
